Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This page describes, factually, how cookies and local storage work on Koya. It is a description of the mechanism and is pending review by legal counsel before launch.
What we store
Koya uses a small number of first-party browser-storage entries. We do not currently load any third-party, analytics, or advertising scripts.
koya_cookie_consent (local storage) — records your cookie choices: a consent ID, a timestamp, and which categories you allowed. It is written only when you make a choice and is kept until you withdraw it or clear your browser storage.
koya_locale (cookie) — remembers your language and region so we can show the correct version of the site. This is a necessary cookie and is always active.
koya_customer_session (cookie) — keeps you signed in to your Koya account. This is a necessary cookie and is set only when you log in.
Cookie categories
Necessary — required for Koya to work: security, fraud prevention, and remembering your cookie choices. Always on.
Preferences — remember choices like language, region and saved quotes to personalise your experience. Off by default.
Statistics — anonymous usage data that helps us understand how people use Koya and improve it. Off by default.
Marketing — used to show relevant offers and measure how our campaigns perform. Off by default.
Your choices
Everything except Necessary is off until you turn it on — there are no pre-ticked boxes. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. Withdrawing is as easy as granting.
This description will be reviewed by legal counsel and updated as needed before launch.
